PhD Marek Nowak - graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology and the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow. Currently employed as leading specialist at the Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institiute of Non-Ferrous Metals in Skawina. Head of the Light Metals Materials Engineering Department and Corrosion and Surface Engineering Laboratory. His main areas of interest include research and expertise in the field of chemical surface treatment, with particular emphasis on the processes of manufacturing conversion coatings (anodic oxide coatings), metal and composite coatings as well as corrosion and corrosion protection of aluminum and aluminum alloys, as well as magnesium and its alloys.
