Michał Karaś, MSc - graduate the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. Employed in the Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals in Skawina as a specialist in the research division.

 

The main areas of interest are:

- research in the field of anodic surface treatment of aluminum, titanium and magnesium alloys

- testing of corrosion resistance and corrosion protection of aluminum and aluminum alloys

- production of biodegradable protective coatings on magnesium alloys.

 

In addition, he acts as an internal auditor according to ISO 9001 and ISO / IEC 17025.

He is a member of the Association of Light Metals Engineers and Technicians and the Secretary of the Association of the Polish Aluminum Center

The Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, Light Metals Division in Skawina, for more than 50 years specializes in studies of various casting technologies and other forms of light metals processing and surface treatment for the needs of basic R&D work carried out for the industry and other research centres.
